Mediation & Dispute Resolution

Mediation & Dispute Resolution encompasses the following areas:

Mediation

All courts require some type of alternative dispute resolution as a means to resolving cases before matters proceed to trial.  Laura is a Rule 114 Qualified Neutral, meaning she is qualified to perform mediation of family law matters.  Resolving disputes rather than allowing the court to decide the matter empowers individuals to make informed decisions about one’s own future and family.  Please call or email to schedule or inquire about setting up mediation.

Social Early Neutral Evaluation

Social Early Neutral Evaluation (“SENE”) is a form of alternative dispute resolution.  SENE is a mediation session pertaining to the social issues in a family law matter such as parenting time and custody of children, but utilizes the use of two evaluators to conduct the session who will also provide feedback of what the evaluators likely see as an outcome if the matter would proceed to a full custody evaluation or trial.

Financial Early Neutral Evaluation

Financial Early Neutral Evaluation (“FENE”) is a form of alternative dispute resolution.  FENE is a mediation session pertaining to the financial issues in a family law matter such as debt and asset allocation, but utilizes the use of an evaluator to conduct the session who will also provide feedback of what the evaluator likely sees as an outcome if the matter would proceed to a contested motion or trial.
